From the Arrowhead Region, south through the Boundary Waters to Mille Lacs and the Metro Lakes, it’s no surprise why Minnesota is the “Land of 10,000 Lakes”. Boating is an essential part of Minnesota’s culture for locals and tourists alike. I’ve fished Lake Vermillion and other lakes throughout Minnesota many times, and fully appreciate the beauty and numerous boating opportunities in the state. I started my 2,500 mile canoe trip down the Mississippi River at the headwaters of Lake Itasca, paddled through Cass, Bemidji, “Winnie” into the Twin Cities, and down past Red Wing so I am no stranger to these waters.

I built this guide to connect Minnesota’s boaters with reliable boat service experts who understand the unique demands of MN waters—from rigorous Invasive Species compliance to the high-intensity winterization required for some of the coldest winters in the country. My mission is to ensure you spend your short season on the water with your family, not waiting at the dock.
